The email arrived to notify my that teaching period two is to begin this week. At first I was excited, ready to get stuck into it and smash out some goals. Once I logged on and started to go through the unit material and the assignments, I began to feel stressed and overwhelmed. Panic and anxiety was bubbling causing me to start over thinking. How on earth am I supposed to get everything done? I have just started a cleaning schedule to try and change my environment (Thanks to Steph Pase at Just another mummy blog for the inspiration), I started to make time to go to the gym to clear my mind and strengthen my body, plus I love spending quality time with my children. When the feeling of dread sits in and you start to feel overwhelmed or things are getting to much, it's best to stop, take a step back and take a few deep breaths. My Nan always says that we are only dealt the hand we can handle. So I took a deep breath and reminded myself I have 24hours in the day, and if I begin to write down the tasks and work on them one at a time, I will be working on smashing childhood dreams, while becoming the best me I can be and an even better mum. So when times get tough whether it be added work load or never ending toddler temper tantrums, remember you are always stronger than you believe.
