Exercise can be scary, especially if you're like me and apart from P.E. in school, you haven't done much exercise in your life. I used to make excuses like, I don't have time, or I can't afford the gym memberships. However, the excuses needed to stop and I needed to do something. Over the past three weeks I've been slowly getting used to using muscles that I didn't even know I had. At least once a week, I jump out of my comfort zone and I join a class at the Gym but most times I just jump on the treadmill, pop on some Netflix and combine Mum time with Gym time. Looking from the outside in there doesn't seem to be any changes, but for me I feel like I am accomplishing something, I also don't feel the need to eat as much and I feel inspired to tidy up my act with regards the unhealthy eating. Exercise doesn't have to be scary, and it doesn't have to involve the Gym. It can be as simple as going to a dance class, or trying Arial hoop or pole fitness or maybe even joining a team sport at your local club. All of these are just as good for you as walking on a treadmill, it's just about finding what works for you and sometimes that includes stepping out of your comfort zone. You never know the goal you might achieve!
